The MacDirect Catalog on Disk is nearing completion and should be mailed in two weeks.
Apple has announced arrangements for licencing system software products such as MacTCP. Contact Thinkworks (02) 417 7344 for details if you need to licence 50 plus copies.
Several distributors have indicated that they intend to charge for support calls. The first will be InfoMagic. A charge of $18 per call will be introduced for all support calls from July 1st. Final details have not been announced, but indications are that it will apply to all of the products InfoMagic distributes.
Free support for Aldus products will be available from Aldus on (02) 418 8488. Free support for Hewlet Packard products will be available from HP on (008) 033 833.
Microsoft has also announced that a $35 per call charge will be introduced by the end of the year. Microsoft is likely to establish a range of programs including a more expensive Communique membership to provide access to support.
Conexus has also indicated that it will introduce a charge service this year.
